With minions, it's expected that they're going to bite it at one point or another. It comes with the job. While most are left to simply explode in a burst of flames (ho-hum), some have had the distinction of getting their own death animation, with fancy visuals and sounds.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Minions: Zorima

Was pleasantly surprised to find that the latest scans for the upcoming 2013 sentai, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, included the minions for the series. In past years, only the tiniest image of the grunts would be seen early on. Not until mid to late-January would larger scans of the grunts be seen. But oh well, I'm not complaining.

There has been a disappointing trend in Japanese live action in which a group on grunts, once defeated, will explode. But things were not always this way — minions would have unique and appropriate death sequences, depending on their composition. Of course, things were not always that way either.

The Power Transfer

I always used to view my minion fetish as an indication that I was sexually submissive. A post I wrote on FetLife a couple years ago, called “The Sexual Appeal of zPutties”, detailed, in part, that belief. But I find that, the more I think about it — and boy, do I think about it — it may not be so cut and dry.

AfterEffects and zPutties

I've been wanting to learn AfterEffects for a while. I don't know enough about video production to know whether it is the top dog, but I believe it is one of the wider-used programs for video editing and special effects.

Power Rangers DVD Release from Shout! Factory

With the release of Power Rangers seasons 1–7 on DVD, I am reinvigorated in my interest of non-putty Power Rangers minions. In particular, the Stingwingers from Lost Galaxy. I have every intention of ripping the episodes to my computer to get new screen captures to replace many of the low-quality ones I have from the episodes that have existed online to this point.
