With the release of Power Rangers seasons 1–7 on DVD, I am reinvigorated in my interest of non-putty Power Rangers minions. In particular, the Stingwingers from Lost Galaxy. I have every intention of ripping the episodes to my computer to get new screen captures to replace many of the low-quality ones I have from the episodes that have existed online to this point.
Granted, I have no intention of uploading these episodes anywhere. It has been urged on multiple Power Ranger forums—and I agree wholeheartedly—that DVD rips of these episodes should not be shared online. These were a long time in the making, and Saban had eyes on various forums. Of people want to see them, they should buy them. I can say, without having even watched all that many of them, that it is a worthwhile investment for a big fan of the show.
Not to mention, there is an amazing feature on the stunt people (which includes a number of behind-the-scenes photos of the zPutties, but I digress). It really gives some great insight to what went into the fight scenes and the relationships the stunt team had with one another. Very cool stuff.
Back off the soapbox, the quality of the very few screens I've captured thus far have been better than any I've taken before. I will be enjoying these very much, looking forward to the VR Troopers DVD release, and hopefully a release of DVDs of Lightspeed Rescue on.
