Well, my initial reaction is that I'm not a fan. :p Needs moar spandex.

Dorodoro (Kakuranger) Spotted in Akibaranger

 In episode 2 of Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger (season 2), a Dorodoro costume was seen. First, a close-up of the mask, then a medium shot of the costume. The Dorodoro were the grunts from Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. Check out the screen shots below.

Initial Reaction: Zorima (Kyoryuger)

Kyoryuger debuted this weekend, featuring the wonderfully spandex-clad Zorima minions.

Sweet (and Horrible) Death

With minions, it's expected that they're going to bite it at one point or another. It comes with the job. While most are left to simply explode in a burst of flames (ho-hum), some have had the distinction of getting their own death animation, with fancy visuals and sounds.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Minions: Zorima

Was pleasantly surprised to find that the latest scans for the upcoming 2013 sentai, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, included the minions for the series. In past years, only the tiniest image of the grunts would be seen early on. Not until mid to late-January would larger scans of the grunts be seen. But oh well, I'm not complaining.

Baddie Go Boom: The Incredible Exploding Minion

There has been a disappointing trend in Japanese live action in which a group on grunts, once defeated, will explode. But things were not always this way — minions would have unique and appropriate death sequences, depending on their composition. Of course, things were not always that way either.
