The Power Transfer

I always used to view my minion fetish as an indication that I was sexually submissive. A post I wrote on FetLife a couple years ago, called “The Sexual Appeal of zPutties”, detailed, in part, that belief. But I find that, the more I think about it — and boy, do I think about it — it may not be so cut and dry.

When I fantasize about being a minion, I try to emulate everything about them. The zPutties from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers remain a good example (and my personal favorite — there will always be a bias toward them on this blog). The zPutties and other minions never simply sit back and take a beating from the rangers. They go after them and incite the battle. They are the instigators. They run in headlong, energetically and aggressively.

It was only when I thought about how they behaved when they weren’t getting beaten to pieces (literally) that I made this realization. Their behavior going into a fight and their intent and desire to beat their opponents is dominant behavior.

zPutties, among other minions, run into battle with the conviction that they are going to emerge victorious. With the exception of possibly a couple instances with the Gormin (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger), I can think of no minion that has wavered going into battle.

There is definitely something arousing about entering a battle so convicted, so aggressively, only to have it end the extreme opposite to the expectation. That shift in power and control from attacker to attackee is humiliating and probably very confusing. I imagine zPutties lying on the ground, thinking “How did this happen?!” (If zPutties could think, that is — the mental capacity of a clay golem is a topic for another day.)

Likely, such an undesired transfer of power is sexualized much like it is for people who fantasize being victims of rape. That loss of control over the situation, followed, in the case of the minions, by a gruesome death, to me, is very arousing. And sometimes it happens so fast, the minion can hardly react. One second they’re charging head on, the next they’re crumbling or exploding and their battle is over.

I believe there is definitely a dynamic in sexual roles of minion fetish. A switch, beginning as dominant and changing to submissive with little to no notice.
